Local youth group enhances Homer recycling

Homer Alaska Youth for Environmental Action (highschool students) made it possible to recycle #1 plastics in Homer.

HOMER BALING/LANDFILL FACILITY (HBF)

 

Located: Mile 169.3  - 42336 Sterling Highway

Open: Monday - Saturday  8:00 am - 5:45 pm    Sunday Noon - 4:00 pm

Closed:  Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year's Day

Materials Accepted: newspaper, corrugated cardboard/brown grocery bags, glass, aluminum cans, office paper, tin cans, plastic milk jugs computer paper, used oil and batteries

Located: Parking Lot - Homer

Open:  24 hours per day
