Kachemak Bay Science Conference will be an opportunity for the exchange of scientific and local/traditional knowledge featuring
sessions on monitoring change over long periods of time, evidence of change, and human adaptations to change. Special emphasis
will be placed on climate science, coastal and watershed habitat dynamics, and Exxon Valdez oil spill restoration
(20 years after the spill). Who is Invited? - Scientists
conducting research in Kachemak Bay or with a strong linkage to environmental change in Kachemak Bay
- Natural resource managers, including staff and officials from local, state, federal and tribal governments
- Citizens, educators, students and members of the environmental and business communities who depend
on the sustainability of the health of the ocean and coastal watersheds

support is being provided by the North Pacific Research Board, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game/Kachemak Bay
